Krempel, a global leader in advanced materials, has officially opened its new Slitting and Logistics Centre (SLC) in Slavonski Brod, Croatia. The November 29 event marked a significant milestone, attended by employees, their families, local officials, and management from across the Krempel Group.

The 3,300-square-meter facility is set to centralize Krempel's European slitting operations, streamlining processes and enhancing customer satisfaction. Rolls from European competence centers will now be slit, packed, and shipped directly to customers from this modernized hub, customized to meet their requirements.

After a detailed location search in 2023, Slavonski Brod was selected for its strategic advantages and potential for future growth. The facility underwent a comprehensive renovation to meet the highest operational standards. Ivan Zgrebec, Director of Operations Croatia, noted the project's adherence to schedule and expressed confidence in the site's continued development.

Christopher Stierl, Director of Supply Chain Management and the project leader, highlighted the facility's readiness to handle defined tasks efficiently. Plans are already underway for an expansion in 2025, which will add 1,800 square meters of production space and introduce an in-house cooling warehouse.

Krempel's team in Slavonski Brod is enthusiastic about driving future growth, further solidifying the company's commitment to innovation and operational excellence.
