Končar to Supply Medium Power Transformers to Elia Asset
Končar Distribution and Special Transformers (D&ST) has signed its first multi-year framework agreement with Elia Asset, a subsidiary of Elia Group, covering the supply of medium power transformers.
Under the agreement, transformers will be delivered between 2028 and 2032, with Končar D&ST responsible for the complete project scope, including engineering, manufacturing, factory testing, transport, installation and commissioning support.
The contract builds on an existing cooperation between Končar D&ST and Elia Group that began in 2018 through projects involving distribution transformers, special transformers and offshore applications.
For Končar D&ST, the agreement represents a further step in strengthening its position in the European transformer market, while supporting Elia Asset’s grid infrastructure activities in Belgium.
Elia Group operates high-voltage transmission systems in Belgium and Germany, where investments in grid reinforcement and modernization are increasing demand for reliable transformer equipment.
