Končar to Deliver 450+ Instrument Transformers to Austrian Power Grid
Končar - Elektroindustrija d.d. has signed a new three-year agreement with Austrian Power Grid (APG) to supply high-voltage instrument transformers for the Austrian transmission network.
According to information released by the Croatian electrical engineering group, the contract includes the production and delivery of more than 450 current and voltage transformers at the 420 kV level, along with combined instrument transformers for 245 kV applications.
The agreement, signed in April, represents the company’s largest single contract secured in the Austrian market to date. Financial details were not disclosed.
Končar said its subsidiary focused on instrument transformers already maintains several long-term supply agreements with APG for 123 kV transformer equipment.
Following the announcement, shares of Končar rose 1.35% to 904 euro on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, reaching an all-time high during Monday trading.
The deal comes amid continued investment across Europe in grid modernization and transmission infrastructure upgrades aimed at supporting energy transition and network reliability objectives.
