Končar Power Transformers (KPT) has announced a new collaboration with Vattenfall Eldistribution AB, a leading European energy company within the Vattenfall Group. As part of the project, KPT will deliver two high-capacity power transformers to the Hagby substation, located north of Stockholm, Sweden.

The transformers, each with a capacity of 500 MVA and a voltage configuration of 415/140/0.42 kV, will significantly enhance the substation's capacity. The first transformer has successfully undergone testing at the KPT factory and is currently en route to its destination. The second transformer is scheduled for testing in January 2025.

Field activities are expected to face challenges from harsh winter conditions, but KPT and its partners are optimistic about the smooth execution of the project. This collaboration marks a significant milestone and lays the groundwork for a long-term partnership between Končar Power Transformers and Vattenfall Eldistribution AB.
