Končar Delivers Transformers for Ukraine’s Nuclear Sector
Croatian electrical engineering company KonÄar has successfully delivered a set of excitation and compound transformers to a key nuclear energy facility in Ukraine, despite logistical and wartime obstacles.
The delivery was completed in September under a contract signed in early 2023 with an undisclosed European partner. The project faced delays due to ongoing wartime conditions and transport limitations, but was finalized without compromising quality or timelines.
The shipment included excitation transformers type TBS250-12 k with rated values of 200 kVA, 6.3 kV / 235 V, and compound transformers type TTKR-100 with a 100 kVA rating. Both were developed and manufactured by KonÄar, known for its role in power systems across Europe.
The project marks another milestone for KonÄar in the nuclear energy sector, highlighting the company's resilience and international partnerships under challenging conditions.
