OMAN -- Končar Power Transformers Ltd. - A Joint Venture of Siemens Energy and Končar has delivered 500 MVA 400 kV autotransformers to a customer in Oman.

The 500 MVA 400 kV autotransformers are the first in a series manufactured for the same customer. The units were transported from the KPT factory in Zagreb, Croatia to the site in Oman.

"The units are to contribute to an even stronger backbone of the Omani power grid and enable interconnections to neighboring countries and new renewable grid connections," said Branko Tomic, Sales Manager at KPT.

According to KPT's long-term contract with the Omani customer, more units are to be delivered later this year.
