NETHERLANDS - transformers were put in place by the open roof.

Recently, the two transformers (400MVA/230kV) were hoisted into the top side of the transformer platform for Hollandse Kust west Alpha.

Transformers, each weighing 313 tonnes, were lifted through the roof and maneuvered into the right position.

Both sockets will have a capacity of 700 megawatts to bring the generated energy from the offshore wind farms of the same name ashore.

The activities on the substations will continue until the load out, planned for spring 2023.
