Indiana Michigan Power to invest $21m in a new substation and transmission line upgrade

18 Oct 2019

Indiana Michigan Power has proposed a project worth around $21 million that would be invested into the east-central Indiana's Hartford City area to strengthen the reliability of the transmission system.

The company proposes to upgrade around four miles of 34.5 kV transmission lines, rebuild eight miles of 69 kV lines and build a new substation. Some of the transmission lines would be rerouted.

The works are slated to begin work in 2022 and finished by summer 2022
