ALBACETE, SPAIN -- According to the company, the new transformer should play a key role in harnessing and distributing electricity from the wind farms of the Higueruela area.

 

Due to the size of the transformer its transportation from the factory in Córdoba to its future home at the Romica substation was complex and challenging. The journey, which took twelve days to complete also included a complicated passage through the city centre on a 24-axle truck. 

Romica substation is a key junction point for the distribution of electricity from the wind farms in the Higueruela area, and of Spain's efforts towards renewable energy transition and the new transformer should help to greatly reinforce those efforts.
