Huge transformer makes its way to Connah’s Quay power station in north Wales
WALES, UNITED KINGDOM - The first of two new transformers has been delivered to Connah' s Quay Power Station in Flintshire, north Wales, yesterday morning.
The giant transformer was transported from Stafford to Flintshire on girder frame trailers, travelling at 12 mph under police escort, reports Deeside.
The journey took two days with an overnight stop at a layby near Holywell.
The second transformer is expected to be delivered to Connah's Quay power station on the weekend of 29th and 30th June.
