TURKEY -- Hitachi ABB Power Grids has received a $20 million order from TEÄ°AÅž, the transmission system operator for electricity in Turkey, to supply power transformers for a grid expansion project.
The manufacturer will supply several 62.5 MVA and 100 MVA, 154 kV power transformers.
TEÄ°AÅž' grid expansion project is expected to reduce reliance on unreliable and polluting local energy sources such as diesel generators, and enable an uninterrupted supply of electricity.
