GE Vernova TD India Expands Transformer, Reactor, and Switchgear Capacity

GE Vernova TD India announced a major investment plan to expand its manufacturing capabilities across three locations in India. The company plans to invest ₹8 billion (USD 90.1 million) in its facilities at Vadodara, Hosur, and Padappai, aiming to enhance production across key power equipment lines.
The expansion is expected to increase transformer and reactor manufacturing capacity by more than 50%, while the production of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) products is projected to grow by up to 20%.
Industry experts suggest that this investment positions GE Vernova TD India to meet the rising demand for advanced power infrastructure solutions. The company's focus on geographically diversified facilities could optimize logistics and cater to regional requirements more efficiently.
The move comes amid increasing investments in India's power sector, including grid modernization and electrification projects. Analysts view the expansion as a strategic step for GE Vernova TD India to strengthen its market presence and support the country's growing energy needs.
