Ganz Finalizes On-Site Assembly and Testing in Förderstedt
Ganz Transformers and Electric Rotating Machines Plc. announced that three 125 MVA, 115/33 kV transformers have been delivered, assembled on site and have successfully passed Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for the ECO STOR Förderstedt project.
According to the company, the delivery and testing were completed by the end of 2025.
The transformers were designed to support the energy supply of the ECO STOR Förderstedt facility, which is described as one of Germany’s largest battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. The project has a planned capacity of 300 megawatts (MW) and more than 700 megawatt-hours (MWh) of storage.
Ganz thanked ECO STOR for its partnership on the project, as well as colleagues and project partners involved in the delivery and installation.
