The EU Member States have approved a proposal to invest $1.3 billion in ten major European energy infrastructure projects under the Connecting Europe Facility.

Among the ten projects are two electricity transmission projects and one smart electricity grid project.

One of the projects will be building Harmony Link, an electricity cable linking Poland and Lithuania which is expected to become a building block for the future offshore grid in the Baltic Sea.
