Eskom has announced the appointment of key transformer suppliers as part of its Transmission Development Plan. This strategic move is aligned with the company's commitment to connect new generation capacity and support a renewed focus on localization.

The newly appointed suppliers include SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA, ACTOM, Powertech Transformers, TMC Transformers, and Hitachi Energy South Africa. Group Executive for Transmission, Segomoco Scheppers, emphasized the importance of this initiative. "Transformers are integral to our transmission network.
