PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA - The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) announced the election of a new chair and four members to the Board of Directors, as well as the appointment of three external directors.

Patricia L. Kampling, who has served on the EPRI Board of Directors since 2014, becomes Chair of the Board. Kampling is Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Alliant Energy Corporation based in Madison, Wisconsin.

Mike Hummel, General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Salt River Project (SRP), David J. Tudor, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. of Missouri, Dr. Jae-hoon Chung, Chief Executive Officer of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) and Jan Oberholzer, Chief Operating Officer of Eskom Holdings, were named to four-year terms, EPRI said in the press statement.

The Board also announced the appointment of three external directors to four-year terms: Sheryl Carter, a Director at the Natural Resources Defense Council, Dan Ford, Managing Director and Head of North America Utilities Equity Research at UBS; and, Dr. Arun Majumdar, an engineering professor at Stanford University.
