Entergy Mississippi building a new substation in Hinds County

8 Jun 2020
MISSISSIPPI - Entergy Mississippi started a $31 million infrastructure project to upgrade its power transmission facilities in Hinds County.

As part of the project the company will construct a new substation on the corner of Mill Street and Lorenz Boulevard, as well as rebuild the existing 115 kV line from the existing Rex Brown substation to the new substation, which will be called Mill Street Substation, reports Daily Energy Insider.
The new infrastructure will allow Entergy Mississippi to provide reliable service at reasonable prices.
Construction, which began in January, is slated for completion in November.
