Enphase Started Producing SST Modules in Texas

Enphase Energy has begun producing IQ Solid-State Transformer (SST) power modules at its Arlington, Texas facility, targeting the growing power requirements of AI data centers.
Each 4 kW module converts medium-voltage AC at 13.8 kV or 34.5 kV directly to 800 V DC. Hundreds of modules can be combined into racks supporting up to 5 MW, with sub-millisecond response designed for rapid AI workload fluctuations.
Raghu Belur, co-founder and chief product officer, said: “hundreds of modules together make a multi-megawatt rack.”
The production milestone lifted Enphase shares, while SolarEdge Technologies also gained on its own SST platform targeting AI infrastructure. The development highlights growing interest in solid-state power conversion as data-center operators seek scalable solutions for high-density electrical loads.
