Emerald Transformer names new General Manager of Lexington, Miss. plant

LEXINGTON, MISSISSIPPI - Emerald Transformer (Emerald) has named Jim Palmer as the company's new general manager of the Lexington, Mississippi, plant.


Palmer brings over 30 years of experience in organizational development, operations management and safety and environmental protection within multi-state and multi-plant production.

His leadership and unique skillset strengthen Emerald's ability to continue its regional and national growth, the company said in the press release.

As general manager, Palmer is responsible for overseeing the performance, compliance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of Emerald Transformer.

"Building upon his background in the Navy and decades of managerial experience, Jim has a deep understanding of strategic planning, operations management, mergers and acquisition administration and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) programs that make him a perfect fit to lead Emerald's Lexington plant."
