Elsewedy Electric Advances Six Substation Projects in Saudi Arabia
Elsewedy Electric has advanced its power infrastructure expansion in Saudi Arabia, announcing progress on six high-voltage substations across the Kingdom.
The substations, operating at voltage levels between 110 and 115 kilovolts, are being developed in collaboration with Saudi Electricity Company, National Grid Company, Hitachi Energy, and Siemens Energy. The projects are distributed across multiple regions, including the Western Region, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province.
According to a company statement, the developments aim to improve the efficiency of electricity networks and ensure continuity of power supply amid growing energy demand.
Hesham Hegazy, CEO of Elsewedy Electric Power Systems Projects, said: “These substations reflect our continued collaboration with National Grid, enhancing the reliability and flexibility of the energy system over the long term.”
He added: “They play a vital role in meeting the growing demand for electricity and supporting ongoing urban and industrial expansion, thereby strengthening overall system stability and sustainability.”
Hegazy further noted: “We operate under a fully integrated turnkey delivery model, demonstrating our ability to provide comprehensive solutions across all project phases and reinforcing our position as a trusted partner and a key player in the energy sector.”
The projects come as Saudi Arabia continues to invest in strengthening its energy infrastructure to support economic growth.
