BERLIN, GERMANY - Last month SGB-SMIT Group and El Nasr Transformers & Electrical Products Company (ELMACO) signed a Co-operation and License Agreement on the manufacture and sale of SGB-SMIT transformers.

Based on the agreement, ELMACO will sell and produce SGB-SMIT cast-resin transformers for the Egyptian market, the company stated in the press release.

The agreement states that SGB-SMIT Group will provide transformer designs specific to the technical requirements, assistance and training in setting up the production and testing facilities in ELMACO's newly built factory in Badr city, Egypt.

SGB-SMIT will also supply key transformer components to ELMACO from its European factories.

The production is expected to start in the last quarter of 2019, reaching full capacity during 2020.
