Eiffage Énergie Systèmes to Build 113 MWp PV Power Plant in France

5 Feb 2025
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes has secured a contract to build a 113 MWp photovoltaic (PV) power plant and substation in Eure-et-Loir, France. The project, developed by EDF-Renouvelables (EDF-Re) on a former airbase site in Nivouville, will be part of a 30-year agreement with the Grand Châteaudun community to utilize the area for renewable energy purposes.

The PV power plant is set to be one of the largest in the region, contributing significantly to France's renewable energy capacity. Eiffage Énergie Systèmes will oversee the balance-of-system (BOS) works and high-voltage battery (HVB) tasks, while substations for the plant will be supplied by Huawei.

This marks another important step in France's transition to cleaner energy sources. The commissioning of the substation is expected to be completed by summer 2025.

The successful implementation of this project is poised to support EDF-Re's long-term renewable energy goals and contribute to the Grand Châteaudun community's sustainable development initiatives.
