Efacec to Support ENEDIS Electricity Grid Upgrades

28 May 2026
Efacec has signed two multi-year framework agreements with ENEDIS to supply power transformers and medium-voltage switchgear for the modernization of France’s electricity distribution grid.

The agreements, which may reach several hundred million euros in value, cover deployments across mainland France as well as overseas departments and territories (DOM-TOM). The equipment will be used to support grid reinforcement and upgrades in both urban and remote environments.

According to the announcement, Efacec was selected through a competitive process based on its technical capabilities and ability to deliver scalable solutions. The company will provide equipment designed to meet ENEDIS’ technical and environmental requirements, including fluorine-free medium-voltage switchgear aimed at reducing environmental impact.

The projects are aligned with ENEDIS’s broader strategy to modernize its distribution network and support the transition to lower-carbon energy systems. Efacec stated that it will apply advanced engineering and eco-design principles to ensure performance and long-term operational value.

France remains a key market for Efacec, which continues to expand its presence in European infrastructure and energy projects.
