Ecuador inaugurates La Concordia – Pedernales transmission system

ECUADOR - Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador (CELEC EP) has energized the new La Concordia - Pedernales transmission system that will connect the Manabí province to the National Transmission System (SNT).

The system includes 49 miles of the 138 kV La Concordia - Pedernales transmission line, the 138/69 kV, 67 MVA Pedernales substation and the 138 kV La Concordia sectioning substation.
Around 1.3 million inhabitants of the northern cantons of the Manabí province will profit from the new transmission system that will supply energy for CNEL EP - Manabí customers.
Part of the work was financed with a $28.2 million loan from the Inter-American Development Bank.
With an investment of $34.3 million, the La Concordia - Pedernales system is expected to enhance the development of this Manabí province, reports BNAmericas.
