The DISCOM also conducted leakage testing of numerous poles and streetlight installations in parks. Attention is being given to the healthiness of the earthing of electrical installations, and safety audits of major public installations like malls, hospitals, schools, and colleges have been carried out. The DISCOM is actively raising awareness among customers about the hazards posed by unauthorized construction encroaching on overhead power lines. Violations are being addressed through notices and disconnection of supply for dangerous installations in congested areas to prevent accidents.
