SISSACH, SWITZERLAND - Dirk Soete has been appointed CEO of the R&S Group, where he supersedes Mike Lauper who will remain in the company as a consultant.

Dirk Soete has broad international experience - both operational and managerial - in the electrical industry, especially in the transformers business. Having started as an electrical designer in 1992, Dirk Soete then moved over via sales and business development to P&L responsibility for complete global transformer operations.

As new Group CEO, Dirk Soete will take the responsibility to lead the Group to its vision of being a leading provider of electrical infrastructure products in key markets around the world, according to the press release.

R&S offers distribution and power transformers, medium and high voltage switching devices as well as certain products for railway electrification and industrial electrical connectors.
