Delta Star ships 5 transformers out of Lynchburg facility at the same time
LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA - Last week Delta Star Inc. shipped five new power transformers to three different customers all in one day.
Three units of 20 MVA capacity each were shipped to East Kentucky Power. One 40 MVA transformer was manufactured and shipped for Florida-based Gulf Power company.
The fifth power transformer of 45 MVA was manufactured for PS&G. Due to its size, the transformer required police escorts on its journey through the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
