Delta Star expands Quebec manufacturing plant adding 22 jobs

13 Dec 2019

LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA - Delta Star, Inc. has officially launched a new winding room at Delta Star North facility in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada, with Jason Greene, President and CEO of Delta Star, Inc., and Monsieur Alain Laplante, Mayor of the City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, partaking in ribbon cutting.

The $2 million expansion will provide updated technology and equipment to increase production at the plant by approximately 50 percent, as well as add 22 jobs to the workforce, the company announced in the press release.

The new winding room will allow standardization between products produced at all three Delta Star facilities and is expected to provide flexibility and improve the capability of building larger and more complex transformer units.

Delta Star acquired the transformer factory in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu in August of 2015, making it its third location to build power transformers.
