Delgaz Grid has initiated modernization works at the Roman Laminor transformer station in NeamÈ› County, an investment valued at approximately 10 million euros. The project, started in the fourth quarter of 2024 in collaboration with ETHGroup, is predominantly funded through the Modernization Fund, with additional contributions from Delgaz Grid.

The upgrade is set to enhance electricity supply for over 36,000 customers in the Roman municipality and 111 surrounding localities. It includes state-of-the-art equipment for 110 kV and 20 kV power distribution, advanced protection and measurement systems, and integration into the SCADA (Monitoring, Control, and Data Acquisition) system for remote supervision and control.

The project aims to improve service continuity, distribution quality, and connection capacity for new consumers, prosumers, and green energy producers. Additionally, the station's connection to the Tupilați and Filipești transformer stations will ensure enhanced security in the region's electricity supply.

Out of the total investment of over 51 million lei (€10 million), 33.4 million lei (€6,6 million) is non-refundable co-financing from the Modernization Fund, while 17.6 million lei (€3,5 million), including VAT, is Delgaz Grid's contribution. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

This modernization initiative follows the completion of a 22.7 million lei (€4,56 million) transformer station in OneÈ™ti, Bacău County, benefiting over 31,000 customers. Delgaz Grid continues to pursue multiple European co-financed projects for upgrading 32 transformer stations across the six counties in Moldova where it operates in the electricity sector.
