Croatian transformer manufacturer Končar – Distributivni i specijalni transformatori d.d. (KONČAR-D&ST) has acquired an additional 35.79% stake in Novi Feromont d.o.o., raising its total ownership to 54.72%. Before the transaction, KONČAR-D&ST held 18.93% of the company.

Novi Feromont, based in Donji Kraljevac, Croatia, produces transformer tanks, a key component in the manufacture of transformers. The company has been a long-term supplier to KONČAR-D&ST. The deal is part of KONČAR-D&ST’s strategy to secure a reliable supply of critical components amid growing demand for transformers in the European Union driven by the green transition.

According to public registry data, the remaining shares of Novi Feromont are held by 18 individual shareholders and the local equipment manufacturer Tehnix. In 2024, Novi Feromont reported revenue of $23,6 million (€20.5 million), net profit of approximately $416,868 (€361,000), and employed 241 staff.

The acquisition positions KONČAR-D&ST as the majority shareholder, strengthening its supply chain reliability and market competitiveness in transformer manufacturing.
