Colombia, Yumbo - Epsa, a subsidiary of the Colombian electricity company Celsia, announced the acquisition of all the distribution assets and the electricity commercialization business in Tolima, currently operated and owned by Compañía Energética del Tolima SAESP.

With this operation the organization will double the coverage of its distribution business in Colombia, reports BN Americas.

The acquisition includes 75 substations and 11,000 km of distribution network covering the 47 municipalities of the department, including its capital Ibagué, an important agro-industrial, commercial and business center in the region.
