Colombia launches tender for Guatapurí substation and transmission line

COLOMBIA - Colombian government agency of planning for energy and mining, UPME, has launched a public tender for a 110 kV transmission project in northern Cesar department as the government advances its efforts to strengthen the national grid.


The tender calls for an investor and supervisor for the construction of the Guatapurí substation and associated transmission lines, reports BN Americas.

The scope of the contract includes the design, procurement of electrical equipment, construction, operation and maintenance of the new substation and associated lines.

Interested bidders should send their offers by June 13. The opening of bid envelopes is slated for August 1.
