NIGERIA - The country experiences several system blackouts every year due to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) not being equipped with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software.

CESI SpA has announced that the Rehabilitation of SCADA Systems project aims to implement a full-scale SCADA, EMS and telecommunication system to monitor and manage the relevant electrical network in a safe and reliable manner.

According to the company, the country experiences several system blackouts every year due to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) not being equipped with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software. This project should help remedy that.
