Caverion has secured a significant contract from Finland's national transmission system operator Fingrid Oyj to implement two new 400 kV substations in Halsua and Ullava. The turnkey project includes construction, main equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning.

The substations, scheduled for completion and activation by summer 2027, aim to strengthen Finland's electricity transmission network. The project is expected to support the integration of renewable energy sources, including wind and solar power, enhancing the nation's energy self-sufficiency and supporting its climate targets.

According to Kari Aalto, Head of Business, Industrial Projects and Infrastructure at Caverion Finland, the company's involvement underscores its strategic focus on the full energy chain and climate-friendly infrastructure solutions.

This contract continues a longstanding collaboration between Caverion and Fingrid, reflecting trust in the company's capabilities in delivering large-scale, sustainable energy projects.
