CHINA - Guangzhou Baiyun Electric Equipment has chosen BRUSH Switchgear for the next phase of development in China's rail network.

BRUSH Group's Chinese supply partner Guangzhou Baiyun Electric Equipment has been selected for the expansion of the Guangzhou Metro and chose BRUSH Switchgear to provide a tailored switchgear solution for the project.

BRUSH will be providing 593 (NDC) breakers and control electronics for the traction distribution system, ensuring the safe delivery of electricity to the metro lines, the manufacturer said in a media release.

This phase of the project consists of 5 new lines and the extension of 5 existing lines.

Guangzhou Metro has future aspirations to double the size of its network by further extending existing lines and providing new lines connecting to existing towns, new developments and new satellite cities as the region develops.
