23 May 2019

BRAZIL - Brazil's Energy Transmission Superintendence (STE) and the Superintendence of the Environment (SMA) have published a study on the integration of municipalities of Cruzeiro do Sul and Feijó into the National Interconnected System.

The transmission expansion plan includes construction of two new 230 kV substations and new 230 kV transmission lines to connect the capital of Acre, Rio Branco, to the localities of Cruzeiro do Sul and Feijó.

The new system will allow a substantial improvement in the electric service to these places.

The estimated cost of the project is over $126 million.
