Blown transformer in downtown Indianapolis leaves 10,000 in the dark
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana -- IPL officials confirmed that a blown transformer at a substation in downtown Indianapolis caused a power outage for about 10,000 people Sunday morning, reports Fox News.
The incident was reported just after 8:00 a.m. on Sunday. The outage covered much of the north half of downtown as well as an area just southeast of the North Split.
