BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA - Two of BC Hydro's largest generating facilities, the GMS Generating Station and nearby Peace Canyon Generating Station, will be receiving transformer system upgrades.

As part of the project, the company will be upgrading the protection and control equipment for PCN generating units 1 to 4 and GSM units 1 to 5. The work will include installation of new digital protection and control panels for the generator exciter and transformer systems.

The project is part of BC Hydro's investment of over $2 billion per year whose aim is to upgrade the ageing assets and build new infrastructure.
