In a bid to bolster its energy infrastructure amidst ongoing conflict, Ukraine has received another significant batch of assistance from Azerbaijani partners, as reported by Azernews, citing the Ukrainian Energy Ministry. This aid, coordinated by the Energy Ministry in January 2024, comprises 25 cargoes of energy equipment crucial for reconstruction efforts.

German Galushchenko, the Ukrainian Energy Minister, emphasized the importance of prompt restoration, stating, "Quick and high-quality renewal of energy equipment during the war is a challenge for energy workers. But thanks to partners, Ukraine can promptly restore damaged facilities, thus strengthening energy security."

Since March 2022, Ukraine has received a total of 92 cargoes of energy equipment from Azerbaijan, weighing more than 1,585 tons. Among these are 51 power transformers, 111 transformer substations, and other essential equipment, facilitating a large-scale repair campaign in the energy sector.

This fourth tranche of aid includes transformer substations, power transformers, wires, disconnectors, and other equipment necessary for rehabilitation and repair works. The distributed equipment has been allocated among 24 enterprises in various energy sectors, ensuring a steady operation despite hostile shelling in frontline regions.

Expressing gratitude for the support, Galushchenko highlighted the critical role of the provided equipment in maintaining stable energy systems. "The works carried out make it possible to keep the stable operation of the energy system and meet the needs of consumers in electricity and heat supply," he affirmed.
