Atlanta Electricals wins $22 million transformer order from BNC Power Projects
Atlanta Electricals Ltd has announced the receipt of a significant order valued at approximately $22 million (₹183.54 crore) from BNC Power Projects Ltd for the supply of EHV power transformers and a 400kV bus reactor.
The contract includes a mix of 315 MVA, 400kV and 100 MVA, 132kV transformers, along with a 400kV bus reactor, to be supplied for a project located in Pugal, Rajasthan. The scope covers design, manufacturing, testing, and supply of the equipment, with phased deliveries following engineering and design approvals.
According to Niral Patel, Managing Director of Atlanta Electricals, this order represents a marquee addition to the company's Extra High Voltage (EHV) portfolio, bolstering its execution visibility and manufacturing run-rate.
As per its Red Herring Prospectus (RHP), Atlanta Electricals reported an order book of about $197 million (₹1,643 crore) as of March 31, 2025, with over 80% sourced from state utilities.
The company operates four manufacturing facilities--three in Gujarat and one in Bengaluru, Karnataka--while a fifth unit at Ankhi (Gujarat) is preparing for commercial production. The total manufacturing capacity stands at approximately 63,060 MVA, with production for FY26 projected at 33,602 MVA.
