Astor Enerji to Invest $150M in Ankara Facilities Expansion
Astor Enerji announced plans to invest USD 150 million to construct two new facilities in the Sincan Organized Industrial Zone in Ankara. The investment aims to significantly boost the company’s production capacity for power transformers and mechanical products.
The new facilities, named Phase 3 High Power Transformer Factory and Phase 4 High Power Mechanical Factory, will be built on land allocated during the earlier Phase 1 and Phase 2 investments. The expansion will increase the annual power transformer production capacity from 32,000 MVA to 100,000 MVA and the mechanical factory capacity from 18,000 MVA to 108,000 MVA. At full capacity, the investment is expected to generate approximately USD 1 billion in revenue and USD 350 million in EBITDA.
Astor Enerji’s statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) noted that construction and technical infrastructure work is targeted for completion by the end of 2026. The company cited rising global demand for electrical energy, especially in the American market, as a key driver behind the expansion.
The expansion follows the nearly completed Phase 1 Switching Products Factory and Phase 2 Conductor Manufacturing Factory, which are already in the installation, assembly, and commissioning stage. Astor Enerji emphasized that the investment aligns with its long-term growth strategy both domestically and internationally.
