ASTA Secures Long-Term Agreements with Prolec GE Vernova and TSEA Energy

20 Feb 2026
ASTA Energy Solutions AG has signed long-term supply agreements with Prolec GE Vernova and TSEA Energy, strengthening its position in the Latin American market for high-voltage transformers.

The agreement with Prolec follows the company’s full acquisition by GE Vernova earlier this month. In addition, ASTA concluded a separate agreement with Brazilian transformer manufacturer TSEA Energy in late 2025.

The contracts cover the long-term supply of Continuously Transposed Conductors (CTCs), key components used in high-voltage transformers for power transmission and distribution projects. CTCs play a critical role in ensuring efficiency and reliability in electrical infrastructure.

According to Dr. Karl Schäcke, CEO of ASTA Group, the agreements align with the company’s growth strategy in strategically important markets, particularly Latin America, where demand for energy infrastructure is rising. He noted that long-term partnerships provide stability and support customers’ expansion plans.

Carlos Yanez, Business Unit Director at Prolec GE Vernova, said the agreement strengthens supply security and supports operational capacity growth in Brazil.

Thomas Schneider, VP Sales Strategy & Global Key Account Manager at ASTA Group, added that the agreements reflect the company’s local-for-local approach, aimed at regional value creation and closer collaboration with customers.

ASTA Energy Solutions AG, headquartered in Austria, operates six production sites across Europe, Asia, and South America and reported revenues of approximately $756million (€643 million in fiscal year 2024.
