Ares Group has expanded production capacity at its transformer tank manufacturing facility in Turkey, with plans already underway for a second facility in Serbia. The expansion is designed to meet increasing market demand while broadening the company’s product portfolio to include tanks for large power transformers.

Speaking at the Hannover Messe, Cemil Berker, Sales Director of Ares Group, highlighted the strategic importance of the investment:

“This capacity expansion reinforces the Ares Group’s position in the energy sector and reflects our long-term strategy for industrial growth through strategic investment. Our ARES Metal Tank production facility, commissioned in 2025 with an initial capacity of 300 tonnes per month, is now being further expanded, marking an important milestone in our manufacturing and commercial development. We remain customer-focused, and our world-class products continue to be recognised by the market, as reflected in our sales growth.”

Located in Turkey, the ARES Metal Tank facility manufactures transformer tanks for distribution transformers and small- to medium-sized power transformers, serving a broad range of applications across power generation, transmission, and distribution networks.

The factory is equipped with advanced laser cutting systems and corrugated wall production machinery, enabling high-precision manufacturing in line with international quality standards. This allows the Ares Group to deliver reliable, durable, and application-specific tank solutions tailored to customer requirements.

Efficient manufacturing lead times, combined with the facility’s strategic proximity to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, position Ares as a competitive and cost-effective supply partner for transformer tank solutions.

The investment forms part of the company’s broader vertical integration and growth strategy, strengthening its position within the transformer supply chain. By adding transformer tank production to its established transformer component business, Ares Group gains greater control over critical manufacturing processes, ensuring consistent quality, shorter lead times, and improved production flexibility — key factors in transformer project execution.

In addition to operational efficiencies, the new facility supports the group’s sustainability objectives. The plant has been designed with environmentally conscious manufacturing practices, optimising material usage and reducing waste throughout the production cycle.

Existing production remains unaffected, and full production is expected to commence in early 2027. The company is already securing and executing new orders.”
