SAO PAOLO, BRAZIL - Brazil's electric power transmission company, Argo Energia, is procuring a complete suite of asset management software solutions from ABB to improve the efficiency and stability of their new power transmission network in Brazil.

The solution for connected asset lifecycle management will ensure security and reliability of key critical transmission and distribution equipment such as transformers and electrical substations across 1,150 kilometer of power lines, reports Pumps&Systems.

Also, remote monitoring software solutions will be provided and installed in the state of Piauí in the Northeastern region of the country and at Argo Energia's São Paulo headquarters, allowing the company to continually monitor and analyze the network's performance.

The new solutions will provide Argo Energia with actionable insights to enable predictive maintenance that will boost asset utilization, drive down maintenance costs and reduce equipment failures and system outages.
