SASSNITZ-MUKRAN, GERMANY - OSS will collect the green power created by the 27 wind turbines.

50Herz announced together with two other companies the successful installation of the Arcadis Ost offshore substation (OSS). The structure was installed by the crane vessel on its monopile foundation in the wind farm located northeast of the island of Rügen in Germany.

The offshore transformer platform together with its foundation weighs over 5,000 tons.

According to 50Hertz, OSS will collect the green power created by the 27 wind turbines, transform it to a level of 220 kV and export it onshore to the German grid connection point in Lubmin.
