Appalachian Power to rebuild 12 miles of transmission line in Virginia

12 Oct 2020
American Electric Power's Appalachian Power is planning to seek approval for upgrades to the Reusens-New London Transmission Line Rebuild Project in the city of Lynchburg and Bedford County in Virginia in spring 2021.

The project will include upgrading the existing Brush Tavern substation and about 12 miles of transmission line.
If the project receives approval, the company expects construction to begin in summer 2022 and conclude by the end of 2023, reports Transmission Hub.
