BRAZIL - ANEEL, Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency, has approved auction for a selection of transmission projects that is expected to create over $1 billion in investments and 8,782 jobs.

The auction is scheduled for December 19, 2019 to be held in São Paulo.


12 lots will be auctioned, with projects including construction of 17 transmission lines and 16 substations across the states of Acre, Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do South and Sao Paulo. 

Most of the projects will be offered for the first time at the auction.
