Alfen to supply 25 transformer stations for European Train Control System

THE NETHERLANDS - Infrabel, the Belgium railway operator, selected Netherlands-based energy solutions company Alfen to supply 25 transformer stations through Engie Fabricom.



The substations will be used for the rollout of the European Train Control System (ETCS) currently being implemented in the Belgium rail network.

ETCS is deployed to further harmonize and enhance rail safety throughout Europe.
