AF Gruppen’s Eviny Solutions Awarded $9.9 Million Contract to Expand Bamble and Kvinesdal Transformer Stations
AF Gruppen's subsidiary Eviny Solutions has been nominated by Statnett to carry out the expansion of transformer stations in Bamble and Kvinesdal. The agreement is a turnkey contract valued at approximately $9.9 million USD, excluding VAT.
The project encompasses the design, delivery, and construction of 420 kV switchgear installations at both stations, as well as a high-voltage cable connection to the station in Bamble.
Tormod Solberg, EVP at AF Gruppen, stated: "We are very pleased that Statnett is once again entrusting us with an important assignment to upgrade the central power grid. We see this as a strong recognition of our expertise and experience, and we know it is motivating for our employees to contribute to the development of vital national infrastructure."
Design and procurement work will begin immediately upon signing the contract, while installation is scheduled for 2027.
In September, AF Gruppen acquired 80 percent of the shares in Eviny Solutions AS, with the remaining 20 percent owned by Eviny AS. The company will change its name to AF Elkraft on November 14, reflecting its integration into the AF Gruppen portfolio.
The project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Norway's central power grid, ensuring reliable and efficient electricity transmission to support growing energy demands.
