SWITZERLAND -- Hitachi ABB Power Grids' bushing manufacturer MICAFIL recently performed seismic tests on 525 kV porcelain bushings.
The Switzerland-based manufacturer MICAFIL provides customized seismic solutions for transformer bushings. The company's high voltage bushings recently met the requirements as per the latest IEEE Std 693™ -2018 standard.
The manufacturer recently performed seismic testing on 525 kV porcelain bushing according to the Chilean standard ETG A.0.20.
"The bushing withstood more than 40 kN bending force with more than the safety factor of 2," said Petra Zimmermann-Renggli, Product Marketing Specialist at MICAFIL.
The manufacturer provides customized seismic bushing solutions as per the latest industry standards such as IEEE 693-2018, IEC TS 61463-2016, ETG A.0.20, TET-APG-N-0001 for earthquake-prone regions in Chile, Mexico, North America, Japan and other countries.
